- Seminar of the E.U.R. thanks to collaboration with the EZA/OZA and with the support of
the European Union commission, held in Vienna, November 9-11, 2000. "An efficient justice system, close to the citizen thanks to
informatics, in relation to the Rechtspfleger and adequate civil procedures"
The EUR itself organized several meetings and symposia concerning different topics and did
also take part in meetings of that kind that were organized by the Council of Europe or by
other organizers.
Mostly the topics were informations about the institute of the Rechtspfleger, about
informatics, European policy, human rights, legal aid, collection proceedings and others.
Above the others should be mentioned the meetings at the Paul-Lbe-Institut in Berlin, at
the European Academy of Otzenhausen, Saarland, in Knigswinter and in Strasbourg.
It was in march 1997, that for the first time the Council of Europe in Strasbourg
organized in collaboration with the EUR a meeting for the States of Central and Eastern
Europe. The objective of this meeting was to inform about the Rechtspfleger and comparable
officials.
Besides this, representatives of the EUR took part in many meetings of the Council of
Europe which also presented the Rechtspfleger. Representatives of the EUR also took part
in meetings of the Council of Europe concerning judicial informatics. The initiatives of
the Ministries of Justice in Germany and Austria must be mentioned, that granted
financial aid for the support of the countries that try to introduce a democratic
structure in a constitutional state. Representatives of the EUR took part in many meetings
of the ministries.
Several members of the EUR brought their national meetings to European levels, France
should be mentioned in this sense.
