On October 24 and 25, a conference of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) took place in the Federal Ministry of Constitution, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice.
The EJTN is an association founded in 2000 for the common educational activity of the European judiciary.
An agenda item for this conference was the positive discussion on the possible opening of the EJTN training program, currently designed for judges and prosecutors, for the professional staff of the EJTN “court staff”. This topic will also be on the agenda at the next EJTN General Assembly in June 2019.
At the invitation of the Austrian Federal Ministry for the Constitution, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice, the Association of Rechtspfleger of Austria – VDRÖ with President Walter Szöky and Vice President Stefan Damböck participated in this event. In addition, Walter Szöky had the mandate from the President of the European Union of Rechtspfleger, Vivien Whyte, to represent the interests of the EUR and to present the White Paper for a Rechtspfleger/Greffier for Europe to the Director of the European Academy of Law ERA, Dr. Wolfgang Heusel and to the Secretary General of the EJTN, Wojciech Postulski.
